Detré Bell is the Owner and Senior Installer of Astwood Flooring, a Bermuda-owned flooring and tiling company specializing in residential and commercial flooring solutions across the island. His introduction to the trade began at an early age, spending summers learning alongside his uncle, Vorhees Astwood, a respected veteran tiler in Bermuda. Those early experiences instilled a strong appreciation for quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and creating spaces built to last.

While many Bermudians know Detré through his accomplishments on the football field, his journey has always been rooted in discipline and leadership. He pursued both his education and football in the United States, building an accomplished collegiate career, proudly representing Bermuda internationally, and continuing to serve as Captain of the North Village Rams Senior Men's Team. He holds a Bachelor of General Studies from California State University, Bakersfield.

After returning to Bermuda, Detré entered an apprenticeship under his uncle and began building his career in the flooring and tiling industry. Today, he leads Astwood Flooring, overseeing residential and commercial tile installation, flooring projects, and renovation work throughout Bermuda. He is also currently pursuing his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification to further strengthen the project leadership experience he brings to every job. For Detré, every project is about more than flooring, it's about delivering quality craftsmanship, building relationships, and creating spaces where people can live, work, and make lasting memories.
